This wasn’t too hard to find; look for a downtown corner with a rounded building, and big midblock structure. That was a Penneys, back when the store was a downtown staple. Along with Woolworth’s, of course. If you go down the block, you’ll see the building with the circular arches, one of those regrettable 60s inventions to “revitalize” downtown.

You’ll also find the sign for the Pioneer Hotel - the building is still there, along with the marquee.
