I suppose they had a good reason for tearing it down, but I can’t think of one.
It doesn’t look like a cafeteria, unless you peer to recesses of the upper-right picture and see the steam tables. It also doesn’t look square inside; perhaps it had some spatial-distortion field.
I am almost 100% certain that there is a webpage somewhere with a comment from someone who remembers the place and recalls some item with fondness. Gravy, perhaps. The three-bean salad.
