The Hi-Ten was located on - any guesses? - Highway Ten. It had the famous White Bar Lounge, and one wondered if once it was called the White Lounge Bar. It also had the Hi Life Room, and if you'd ever been on that stretch of Hi. 10 in West Fargo in those days, you'd know that this stretched the definition of Hi Life beyond credibility.

That's right, folks - not Fargo, but the entirely different town of West Fargo. In those days it was a grim place that didn't seem to have any reason to exist - why not just be part of Fargo, for heaven's sake? Now it's home to the sprawling burbs of Fargo, a fresh & prosperous place. The Hi Ten, alas, is gone.
