The uglification of all things human gathered steam in the 60s and burst, like a rotten gourd, into every corner of American culture in the 70s. Proof would be this page. The lettering looks like something a high-school girl would doodle in her notebook after she took a lung-busting hit off a joint in the bathroom; the drawings have that telltale “can’t do hands” flaw that often betrays a lack of talent.
