The store on the right is still in business - at least in 2017. The rest of the right side of the block is something of a mystery. Most everything is gone; and it seems as if one new building was constructed in the 50s, a replacement VFW. The current Google Street view shows a sign on the VFW: Help Save Our Building.

Upon reading some news stories, it seems the VFW moved into the New Bijou theater, and remodeled the front. More here, at Aberdeen's entry in the . . . the other Main Street series.
