CALDWELL'S, St. Petersburg Beach FL

Polynesian modern. They probably threw out the lights in ’75 when they thought it looked dated and needed something more up-to-the-minute, like orange-and-brown-and-red-colored glass fragments secured by a wrought-iron chain, and rough “natural” wood benches.

Of course, I have fond memories of a place that looked like that, but I’d rather eat here. Those booths! Looks like a naval flag code for “Salt Ahoy.”
