Occasionally I see a card that says "well, it's been downhill since then, hasn't it."
"Long Island's Most Modern Restaurant." No disputing that. The lighting is masterful. Doesn't exactly make you hungry, but it says you're going to have a swank night.
Mr. Hoppl died in 1979. No sign of it today.
