Eight floors of bricks & glass, this stood on the corner of Hennepin & Washington for almost seven decades. Built in 1895, designed by E. Townsend Mix, it was a handsome structure with few aspirations to be anything other than a solid return on the investment. But it held its corner with authority and ease.
