The Minnesotan.

A timely renovation in the 1940s gave it a new color scheme, but the Spanish theme wouldn't last forever. Either the Frontier or the Spanish room was changed to the South Seas Room, perhaps capitalizing on the tiki trend, or just appealing to military personnel who stayed here. The hotel was popular with sailors and soliders, I understand, thanks to its inexpensive rooms and location between the two train stations.

Then came doom.
