Mayo bought it and rehabbed it inside and out. It still has the Transformers Hotel, as I like to call it, and the interior is severe, modern, and grown-up.

Not the best outcome, but better than what we got. If we'd only waited. If someone had proposed integrating all the buildings into something else that built on the history of the block instead of obliterating it.

Whether we learned that lesson yet I can't say. We usually don't.
