Nothing very tomahawky about it, if you ask me. The classic old motels with that name usually tried to pretend they were interested in Native American lore, but this one's just phoning it in.
A good reminder that the era did love its turquiose - but often paired it with brown.
Still around and well-reviewed, but again: where did the sign go? Did they believe that garish, individual signage would put people off? It's possible. They may have seemed kitschy for a while, and that was sufficient to make owners everywhere take them down in shame.
