We could spend all day lamenting this one. Look at that pool: there's pride in the work and design.

"Owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. Simpson." Her name was Betty Cartwright, and I found her 2016 obit:

Known by family and friends for her quick humor and stylish demeanor, she was an avid follower of current events and politics, including the current presidential race, and was a dedicated fan of the Tennessee Volunteers football team. After raising her children and helping operate the family business for many years in Tennessee, Mrs. Simpson retired with her husband to Fort Myers, Florida, for several years and later moved to Atlanta. 

The obit says the family was in residential construction and hotel ownership.
