It was ultra modern. The back of the card said so. The design provied it. The design also explained the difference between "ultra modern" and "erected without a thought of charm or grace," because it's pretty dull.

Everything about it is rote, except for the sign. Odd to see it appear midblock in a residential neighborhood, too. No one wants to see this go up across the street from their house.
