The stretch of 54 on which it stood was the grimmest assortment of shabby motels I've seen in years.They all seem to say you'll be here for the "rest of your life" and that's about 24 - 48 hours, after which they're using the passkey to get into your room and swear because they just got the stink out of the place before you came along, but at least it's not as bad as the last guy, because you hadn't had much to eat in a long time, it seems, so there's that.
