This ran in 1929, along with a topper called "Nothing Could Be Done About It." I've broken those out and placed them in their own section, just to pad my page count here. anyway: this looks like your standard Mr. and Mrs.  number, with a proto Milquetoast - at least in the character style. This fellow isn't timorous at all; he's bright eyed and eager.
