This is something you never see these days, and I wonder if we'll ever see it again.

Philllis Kirk was not a carpet expert, as far as I know. She leant celebrity glamor to Viking in exchange for monetary compensation. Her career had peaked by '68, and she would soon leave acting altogether and enter the exciting field of public relations.

I don't believe she wrote the copy in this ad, though.
