Presenting "Favorite Foods of Famous Stars," a thick, expensive piece of promotional material intended to sell movies and domestic refrigeration units. Did anyone believe that the starlets themselves actually ate these things, or made the recipes, or had any hand in the selection of the items? Perhaps. Maybe some of the ladies wanted to believe the stars were really ordinary folk under all that makeup, and liked nothing more than dicing celery for a dandy tempting dish. Then again, what’s the point of being a star if you have to cook? On the other hand, sometimes a gal just likes to fix herself something without all the servants hanging around - and they did all have servants, didn’t they?
