Wendling - who probably had to put up with people asking if he was Wendling now, or whether he had recently Wendled - wasn't just a pop song writer. He was a Serious Composer. What he composed I can't say, but they probably had sturdy names unlike his song: "Yaaka Hula Hickey Dula," "Take Me To The Land Of Jazz," "Take Your Girlie To The Movies," "Felix The Cat," and "Oh What A Pal Is Mary."
I'll bet that first one was somewhat Hawaiian. |
