Included here because it's the Mall of My Childhood. You have no idea how enormous this thing appeared to us in 1973. It seemed bigger than downtown itself, and eventually supplanted it; downtown died, and would not come back for forty years.
Blame the malll if you like - but the developer initially wanted to build a big retail center downtown, in 1967. The city turned him down.
To be fair, it's in West Fargo, not Fargo. Yes, there's a difference.
