Interesting facade metamorphosis here. The tallest building, the bank, look as if it had a strange renovation of the sort you found after the war. But it's not. The glassed-in area looks nice in the postcard, but they really screwed up the renovation.

The teeeeeeny building was replaced by a sliver, its facade extended across the old Woolworth facade, which itself was a modernization of a venerable old building.
