GREEN ACRES, Leeds NY

Ugh: the walls. Double ugh: the curtains. Triple ugh: the tablecloths, I assure you, are laminted with a type of plastic that wipes up easily, but confounds the diner: it's stiff. It interrupts your lap.

The chairs in the lower picture are 50s / 60s; the ones in the top part are a different story. Their chief virtue is stackability.

The bar where I worked had these. At night when it came time to put them up on the table I'd grab the rung on the top, flip them over and catch them by the leg. Never dropped one. Dropped ten or twenty, but never just one.
