Built in 1948 as the 2nd El Fenix location. Sold to a developer and demolished in 2020 to make way for an apartment complex. The chain is still extant and has (I've just counted) fourteen locations in N. Texas.
ANK is correct. It's touted as the oldest Mexican chain in the country. |
