The old blurry picture suggests the bad news: closed and gone. No current picture; this is from 2009. I wonder if a nearby motel put up a sign taller than the Sierra's original, and they began a sign-height arms race.

Owners: Barney and Agnes Goette. They sold the motel in 1986 and retired. She died at the age of 97 in 2014. Barney had already checked out in 2001.
