The back of the card says "ON THE SHORE OF WAVERLY LAKE" because they decided to cater to the hard of hearing. In lower case it says "Sleep in Comfort and Luxury," and again the quotes indicate it is meant with mocking irony.
"Fireplace . . . color T.V."
The owner ran out of things to note after Fireplace, and it took him a minute to remember the TVs. Which was odd, considering what he paid for them, and the expense of keeping them tuned up. You'd think a fellow would remember something like that, but he put the painful reality to the side, so he could think about more soothing things. Like Fireplaces.
