1914 A bit out of chronological order; sorry. The Brittanic was the 3rd of the Olympic class, the others being the Olympic and Titanic, of course. It was the biggest. It was the fastest. Never had a life as a passenger liner, though; it went into service as a hospital ship.
And . . . boom. Hit a mine, or was hit by a torpedo. Went down in an hour, killing . . . thirty people. The rest got off.
