Boy, New York was certainly underbuilt in those days, wasn't it.

Note the left-hand corner - there's a stop on the 6th avenue El. It closed in 1938, which helps date this brochure. Same with the note that the Queens Midtown Tunnel is under construction; it was finished in 1940.

So what's missing? Lexington and 42nd. There's the Graybar Building . . . but no Hotel Commodore.

They do admit the existence of the Waldorf-Astoria, if only to show the hotel was in the top-hat district.
