Wold-Chamberlain is still around, and its website says: "In 1923, the airport was renamed Wold-Chamberlain Field in honor of two local pilots, Ernest Wold and Cyrus Chamberlain, who lost their lives in combat during World War I." The airport would add a big passenger terminal in the 60s and name it after Charles Lindbergh.
Now it's known as something else. It's doing okay.
