A rather ominous collection. At least you know which side got the morning light.

The St. Paul is still around, as are a few others in this collection. The chain itself is gone. I can't find much history, but I suspect the owners of the Davenport Blackhawk got ambitious and picked up properties cheap in the Depression.

They had three hotels in Davenport! A fella either went Blackhawk or he slept rough in the park, I guess.
