Columbus OH. When it opened in 1925, there was a ceremony. Of course. With gifts:

The third and final version of the Neil House, a Downtown landmark for about 150 years, opened on Aug. 25, 1925, with a grand dinner dance for 770 investors and leading citizens.

At the end of the party, women were given iron bookends that depicted the building and men received “glass-enclosed Neil House cigars,” the Ohio State Journal reported.

I like the Hulk-speak on the attributes: FINEST DANCE! BANDS, SMARTEST! ENTERTAINMENT!

Demolished in 1981 for an office building.
