The Kahler company - haven’t we been over this already? Well, once more, then - was a local chain started by the Kahler brothers at the behest of the Mayo doctor bros. It still stands, but the chain itself has shrunk to nothingness.

The Damon was the first Rochester hotel. The Zumbro was the second, I believe, opening in 1912. It went down in 1987.
