It's Carbolated! That means "impregnated with carbolic acid." Aka Phenol. It's mostly used in plastics, but also has a role in disinfectants and paint remover.

I don't know why you'd want to treat your hemorrhoids with something that was also used to strip paint, but they had fewer choices back then.
