From the Victoria Advocate of 1940:

"This week a new era began in the Texas citrus fruit industry when Engelman Gardens Association, packers of Won-Up, shipped the first solid trainload of canned grapefruit juice ever to nmove from the Rio Grande Valley. The solid trainload of 24 cars, consigned to a Houston warehouse, consisted of 47,000 cases o Won-Up, whihc, packed 72 cans to the case, totaled 3,484,000 5-cent cans of grapefruit juice with a retail value of $175,000."

It had only been on the market a year, and they expected to move 50,000,000 cans in 1941.
