If I knew more about the history of women's fashions I'd be able to date the matchbook from her outfit and dress. If I had to guess, I'd say the 1930s. It's not just a lovely piece of design - if a bit busy, logo-wise - but obviously a sign of changing mores. She may need help finding her way, but she's on her own and out in the world.
