The company, Ward Laboratories, was an Aussie firm, named after a fellow named Ward – who, in the Australian way, was naturally known as Wardy. More details here. Maybe not; could be a different company. If it's the same one, it merged with another head-crotch-and-foot elixer concern. They make Aqua Velva and Cepacol Mouthwash, which I have long believed are the same thing.
