PASSING THE TORCH
 

"And a hell of a lot of gas" is scrawled beneath the name of this work, which the unknown artist titled but did not sign.

The work seems to indicate a rite-of-passage ritual wherein the older generation shows the younger generation the means by which organs can be displaced to conform to the prevailing standards of beauty. Special care was shown in the depiction of hair - the older generation was controlled and cinched, but the younger was still allowed to let their hair down in a sign of freedom. But that, of course, would change.
