This classic went up by I-94 when it came through, spurring development on the south side of town. Note the design: the rooms are on the outside, but they're enclosed. Because it was cold. Very, very cold.
The interior may have been unique, but I doubt it; surely they used some sort of template. It was demolished some years ago, and a larger Marriot erected on the site. It has wifi.
The Holiday Inn had four TV channels, but somehow it seems more modern.
