It's a fire station now. Heck, it was a fire station then. It was a fire station before that, although the one before this building was lost . . . in a fire.

Not the most coherent building ever constructed, but that’s what happens when you build them in stages.  Look at the façade: it’s like one of those puzzles where you slide blocks around to form a pattern or picture.
