“Better- not Bitter… Light- not Logy… Mellow- not Musty”– why, that PERFECTLY describes most Bleat entries! (at least to me)

  2. Myself, I’m feeling logy right now. Too much time reviewing logs in one of many sysloggers.

“Excuse me, ma’m. You say you saw the suspect?”

“Yeah, officer. Got real close to him. Scary as hell he was, with those eyes moving this way and that.”

    “Describe him, please.”

“Sure. He’s easy enough to spot. Over 6 feet, kinda hefty, grey overcoat, brown fedora. Smelled kinda logy.”

    “Logy?”

    “Sure. Logy. You know.”

    “Afraid I don’t know.”

“Logy. Like he’s been face down in a bar down on the waterfront for a few days without a shower. Like he slipped and fell into some crick where the brewery empties the hops it don’t use. Logy.”

    “Smelled, huh?”

“Not just the smell. He just looked logy too.”

“Figure we should check some of the bars down the street then?”

“I guess, officer. Try Logymeisters on the Embarcadero.”

I am at a loss to figure out what the red thing is supposed to be. It looks like… a vinyl bean bag chair?

  5. ssmart says:

It’s a red cap, like a jockey would wear. It was their Logo.

Oh, thought it was a steak.

The main brand went extinct some years ago, with the Carling name snapped up by Molson-Coors, but has been revived as simply “Red Cap Ale” by Canadian microbrewer Brick.

Ah, someone else who goes by “fiscal” days. For me, even if it’s past midnight, it’s still “today” until I go to bed. It’s funny to hear a news report that talks about something that happened at “3 a.m. Sunday morning,” because–while technically correct–the person(s) involved were probably still having their Saturday night at the time.

    @Kev
It’s especially annoying when watching a late-night program that ends after midnight (like David Letterman), and just after it ends, there is a commercial where they announce who will be on “tonight”, meaning the episode that starts 23 hours from now. Wasn’t I just watching it tonight?
