Photo of the Day
Yesterday, actually. iPhone photo: snow and late-afternoon light = a blue world. This is all we have for neon around here. It’s not enough, but it helps.

Untold Riches Await You
This is just a fragment of the site, you know. Head HERE for the full menu. Enjoy!

Ugh, wet slushy sidewalks.
Warm colors are so welcome at this time of the year–when nature has only cold blues and grays on offer.
Is that your Element in the shot?
Blur that Lic. Plate!
Of course I am looking at the pic on my little laptop monitor, coupled with my dirty spectacles, it seems blurry already. I’ll wait until I see it on the 24inch monitor at home.
Wow! The Boulevard on Lyndale Avenue. That’s where I went to 25 cent matinees in the Sixties as a kid. My family moved to Texas in 1972, but I have fond memories of the neighborhood I grew up in.
James, you should check out CameraBag on the App Store, it’s a buck or two and filters your iPhone pics to look like a Holga, Lomo, etc. Makes a world of difference for shots like these.
I have Camera Bag – I use it to shoot stuff that looks left over from 1974. Will post a set some day. Thanks for the recommendation, though!
I remember the Boulveard as the 99c feet-stick-to-the-floor theatre. Always a good deal, just not the cleanest place around.
I miss it.
I like how “Park in Rear” was so important that it deserved to be emblazoned in neon.
Snow plays havoc with the white balance and exposure on digital cameras. The camera tries to set the snow as 18% grey (don’t ask) and consequently the color is off and the shot underexposes.
You look a little out of your Element there.
