A reminder: if you only accessed this site because it popped up in your RSS feed and you’ve forgotten about it (sniff), it’s just moved:

lileks.com/bleats

The reason, in case you missed it, is simple: I wanted to have more personal control over the design of the site. More than I could get from WP templates, anyway. I may regret this eventually, and then the nightmare of re-bookmarking repeats itself and everyone rolls their eyes and says MAKE UP YOUR MIND, but for now, it’s over there – back where it was for ten+ years. See you there. Thanks!

Sorry. I didn’t miss you until you showed up on my reader. This is what happens when we give up control of our lives and let an automated system bring up what you read.

I’ll see you over at your new site.

Will this rss feed work for the new page?
I did not see a rss button on the new page.
Also I tried to comment on the new page and the disqus would not load.

I can’t find the RSS button on the new site, either. Help!

Well, that’s the thing. I’ve bookmarked it, but unless there’s an RSS feed, I’ll forget to look at it regularly.

  6. Zed says:

Aha. Got it. Added it to the Google reading list. Still have to check the list, and frankly I’d prefer the RSS feed – but I’m guessing that you don’t want people to read it that way instead of clicking through.

growlers on RSS: OGH has said it’s going to be several weeks until things are all hunky-dory at the new joint (same as the oldest joint.)

growlers on EllisonWare: I maintain my stance, that if software was truly modular, the 2011 version would just drop and run into your 1995 browser and run nicely. it’s a lie. same as always, you get two freebies and then you have to replace everything including the outlet, and get double the speed on your broadband connection. move if you have to.

maybe it was wrong for me to vote at MRNet to allow a commercial usage policy in 1992… .

You still need to fix the link from lileks.com
