BARCLAY VESEY.

Mairsy Dotes and Dozey Dotes and Barclay Vesey Building. This postcard doesn't do it justice, although you can barely pick up one its distinguishing features: the tower isn't aligned with the base. The site wasn't a typical rectangular block, so the lower part of the building is angled to fit the streets - but the tower is aligned to the grid. For 1923, this was a strikingly modern building.

It was damaged by those SOBs on the 9/11 attack, but the facades have been repaired.
