HOTEL LINCOLN.

According to the card, the Lincoln - "Thirty Stories of Sunshine!" - was the first hotel to be "designed and decorated in the modernistic style." It was also the largest hotel in town when it opened in 1928. You might guess it from this card; it just looks like any old big brick New York hotel. But it was quite modern inside. Developed by the Chanin group, the interiors were a riot of Moderne decoration, verging on Buck Rogers. It's on 8th Avenue, between 44th and 45th. The Milford Plaza.
