One of the reasons I find these things so fascinating: the colors. People get an idea that certain eras were determined by certain colors, and they were, but the range is more varied than you’d think. The Gold to Copper will reach full apotheosis in the 70s; blue-greens might be a lagging indicator from the 50s; purple, a one-season shot that wouldn’t be repeated until 1975, then tried again in 1982-1984.
