We don't think of "Technicolor" as something you'd see in 1930, do we? But the Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation was founded in 1914, and the first Hollywood picture with color scenes, "The Toll of the Sea," was released in 1922.
When I was growing up I was taught that "The Wizard of Oz" was the first color movie.
I was misinformed.
