This is the authentic style of liquor label in the 30s; busy and dense, with lots of text and reassurances that it can trace its heritage back to the 12th century, and so on. No one tries to copy this style today. Pity; it has a certain charm.
Check the copy: it's a blend of Glenlivet and Glenmorangie. What, sell them separately? Madness! Blend them together, then mix in some other inferior whiskeys, that's the trick.
It's like using Glenlivet to dilute a glass of Coke. A sin.
