Apparently there was a wide-spread swing to Heinz Soups, and people wondered why. Could it be the ease of opening a can and pouring out the glop, as opposed to cracking a chicken's neck, plucking it, cutting it up, cooking it, simmering the hunks to make the broth, then going outside to get celery and chop it up and put it in the broth while you get another pot going to make the noodles? It's possible.
