Wikipedia:

Gibson was sometimes credited or otherwise identified under at least seven other names, such as Patricia Palmer, Patsy Palmer, Margie Gibson, Marguerite Gibson, Ella Margaret Lewis, Ella Margaret Arce, or Pat Lewis. She appeared in 147 movies between 1913 and 1929.

Uh oh, you might think: 1929. Sound killed her career! I think producers were tired of her crap. She had a vag beef in 1917, complicated by opium possession, and was connected to a blackmail racket in 1923. Not many roles by '29, and the sound transition finished her career.

She moved to Singapore, got married to a guy who got killed in the Japanese attack on Malaysia oil facilties, moved back to LA, had a heart attack in 1964 and died - but not before she'd confessed to the murder of director William Desmond Taylor.

So the story goes.
